October 14 – NO MEETING

Monday, October 21 – Hike and Trail Skills
**POPCORN ORDERS WITH MONEY DUE***
All Sections Halloween Bash RSVP & $10 Due
-6:30 – 8:00 pm at Sherwood Park Natural Area, Range Road 231, 1 Km south of township road 522 on the west side of the road.
-PLEASE dress for the weather and wear proper shoes
-please bring day pack with flashlight or headlamp, and water bottle.
-we will be working on compass and geocaching skills.

Saturday, October 26 – All Sections Halloween Bash $10
-9:30 am – 4:00 pm at Bremner House, 53452 Range Road 225
-Costumes optional
-Scouts will plan and organize Halloween themed actives for the youth to participate in, lunch and snacks provided.
-PLEASE dress for the weather, wear proper shoes and full water bottler (Most of the day will be spent outdoors, so layers are best)

Monday, October 28 – Halloween Fun Night
– 6:30 – 8:00 pm, linking with the Beavers at Mills Haven School, 73 Main Blvd.
-Costumes optional

Monday, October 7 – Hike & Garbage Pickup
6:30 – 8:00 pm at New Horizons Charter School.
-PLEASE dress for the weather and wear proper shoes.
-hike from New Horizons to Woodbridge and back picking up garbage along the way.
-please bring day pack with flashlight or headlamp, and water bottle.
– DON’T FORGET your gloves or a grabber stick to pick-up garbage

Saturday, October 12 – 3rd Annual Eskimos Sleepover, $30
-Game starts at 5 pm, Drop off at 3:45 pm location TBD
-Parents requested to stay for this event, don’t have to sleepover, can just attend the game, but have to complete safe scouting for parents at myscouts.ca and complete a criminal record check if staying overnight.
-Pick up at 8 am location TBD
-Money due Monday, September 30

Cubs will be meeting from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
–Please remind your youth to bring their water bottles and dues.

September 17 – Deadline to Submit a Scout name to be the 203 Troop Leader to Scouter Roland.
Submitting a Scout’s name:

  1. A Scout may select himself; or,
  2. Any Scout can select a fellow Scout (*NOTE* If a person puts forth a Scout’s name then that Scout must accept the selection before he/ she can be placed on the voting ballot.)

This person should be an experienced and accomplished Scout, but not necessarily the oldest Scout.  Ideally, a Troop Leader will have already spent time on the Troop Leadership Team and served as a Patrol Leader or Assistant Patrol Leader.

*If you have any questions please contact Scouter Roland or refer to email he sent out on September 10 .

– Will be outdoors if weather is good.
– Permission forms and payment for 203 Jamboree  (June 15) DUE

Saturday, June 15 – 203 Jamboree (Canoeing & Year Wind up) @ Islet Lake
-Linking event with all sections, With various activities, including hiking, and canoeing, to end our scouting year.
*We will be handing out Seeonee awards, at closing ceremony, to the Howlers that completed the requirements.  Parents are welcome to come take pictures.
