On the twelfth day of cub camp AKELA showed to me,

Twelve tubs of tadpoles
Eleven ropes unraveling
Ten tents a-toppling
Nine noisy cub scouts
Eight eggs a-scrambling
Seven slugs a-sliming
Six leaders snoring
Five burping boys
Four dirty plates
Three broken poles
Two soggy socks
And a North star in a fir tree!
