The All-Sections Camp will be run as a “Jamboree” and include several organized activities including Frisbee golf, predator-prey games, orienteering and map reading, scout craft skills competitions, leather working/craft, scout cooking, wilderness demonstrations, shelter building, astronomy, geocaching, and daytime and nighttime hiking.
Please bring Youth to camp fed on Friday night – we will provide all snacks; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. No outside food is allowed. Let Camp Chief Scouter Jason Lueke (jasonlueke@gmail.com) know of any special dietary needs at least one week prior to camp.
Tents will be provided for Cubs, Scouts and Ventures – 2 to 3 youth per tent. Bunkhouse accommodations (unheated) will be provided for Beavers and Beaver Parents/Siblings. All other Parents and Siblings need to supply their own tenting accommodations – absolutely no RV’s, Trailers or car/van camping is allowed by the Strathcona Wilderness Centre – only tents.
A recommended packing is included in the camp package. Parents are asked to work with their Youth ensure they come to camp properly equipped for the weather. Dry and warm Youth are happy Youth!
